START TO FINISH
1 Initial Consultation
Understanding your vision, Your journey with Feller Homes begins with a live consultation with your builder. This is a relaxed but focused conversation where we take the time to truly understand your lifestyle, needs, and ideas. Together, we’ll explore your block, budget, design inspiration, and functional goals.
Following your initial consultation, the builder will take all the information gathered including your design goals, block details, and scope, to prepare a customised quote for your project. This process typically takes 2 to 5 business days, depending on the complexity and level of customization involved.
2 Meeting with the Architect
During this meeting, the architect will:

Review your vision, lifestyle needs, and block details

Explore your wish-list, layout ideas, and functional priorities

Begin translating your ideas into a working concept
3 PLANS TENDER & CONTRACT
While the architect is preparing your custom floor plans, our team will be working behind the scenes to create a detailed tender. This document outlines everything that will be included in your construction - from materials and finishes to inclusions and allowances
4 APPROVALS & COMPLIANCE
Once your plans, tender, and contract are signed and the initial deposit is
paid, we begin preparing and lodging your building approvals.
Depending on your project, this may include:

CDC (Complying Development Certificate)

CC (ConstructionCertificate)
5 SELECTION STAGE
we don’t ask you to confirm your finishes upfront. Why? Because we believe your home should grow with you.
By giving you time to see the design take shape and experience your spaces during construction, you can make more confident, informed choices. This flexible approach is what sets us apart — no rushed decisions, no pressure to lock in every detail from day one.
6 CONSTRUCTION STAGES
This breakdown of actual construction will help you define each stage: Floor Slab, Roof Frame, Close up, Fixing and Practical Completion
7 DEFECTS LIST & PRACTICAL COMPLETION
When your home reaches practical completion, construction is essentially finished and ready for a final review. At this point, we’ll conduct a Final Inspection, a walk-through between you and the builder. During this inspection, we’ll carefully go through each space and note any defects or touch-ups that may be needed. These items will be documented in a Defects List.
The builder will then have up to two weeks to complete all items on that list. Once the work is done, we’ll arrange a Follow-Up Inspection to ensure everything has been addressed and your home is ready for handover.
